Fireworks Accident in Khanom

6 Finnish nationals were hurt in a firework accident New Years Eve at Nadan Beach when they attended the fireworks arranged by Aava Resort & Spa in Khanom. Two firework rockets landed and exploded amidst a crowd of spectators, injuring 16 Finnish nationals and several Thais, including several children. 6 people, of which 3 were children, suffered serious injuries and were sent for treatment in Bangkok. One of the witnesses to the accident said that the fireworks exploded very close to the ground, so many spectators decided to leave the area because they were afraid of an accident.
